Indonesia welcomed a pair of giant pandas on loan from China on Thursday Nike Air VaporMax Plus Green Womens , a move officials said would boost friendship and cultural cooperation between the two countries.
The pandas, Cai Tao and Hu Chun from Sichuan province, will spend the next 10 years in a special enclosure in the Taman Safari zoo on the outskirts of Jakarta.
"The giant panda is the national treasure of China. They are the messengers of friendship, symbols of peace," Sun Weide, China's Charge d'Affaires in Indonesia Nike Air VaporMax Plus Red Womens , said at a ceremony.
China has been sending their black and white ambassadors abroad in a sign of goodwill since the 1950s as part of what is known as "panda diplomacy".
Cai Tao and Hu Chun arrive at a time of generally good ties between Jakarta and Beijing, although there have been some strains in the relationship.
In July, Indonesia renamed the northern reaches of its exclusive economic zone in the South China Sea as the North Natuna Sea. China’s foreign ministry said the renaming was "meaningless" and called for countries to maintain peace in the region.

Indonesia's Environment and Forestry Minister Siti Nurbaya said joining China's giant panda breeding loan programme "shows that the international community, in this case China Nike Air VaporMax Plus Blue Womens , is confident with the conservation management efforts of Indonesia."
The pair of seven-year-old pandas are expected to go on public display in late October or early November.
PRETORIA, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) -- Representatives from African central banks are holding a four-day meeting in Pretoria, South Africa, to discuss the impact of International Financial Reporting Standard 9 (IFRS9) on banks and regulators in the continent.
The workshop is organised by the Working Group on Cross-border Banking Supervision and the South African Reserve Bank (SARB).
Opening the workshop on Monday, Francois Groepe, deputy governor of SARB Nike Air VaporMax Plus White Womens , encouraged Association of African Central Banks to tackle challenges affecting them.
Adhering to international financial standards will prevent the repeat of the disastrous global financial crisis of 2007-2008, Groepe said.
He said the crisis highlighted the systemic costs of a delayed recognition of credit losses on the part of banks and other lenders, and the application of the prevailing standards at the time was seen as having prevented banks from provisioning appropriately for credit losses likely to arise from emerging risks.
These delays resulted in the recognition of credit losses that were widely regarded as "too little, too late," and gave rise to questions of pro-cyclicality by spurring excessive lending during the boom and forcing a sharp reduction in the subsequent bust, he added.
Some financial experts believe that after that global financial crisis Nike Air VaporMax Plus Sunset Womens , banks are now better capitalized with higher buffers and are better able to absorb losses.
The SARB deputy governor said while many workshops have been held in the past two years, there have never been one focusing specifically on Africa.
"There are factors that are unique to Africa that need to be taken into account," Groepe said. "With this workshop, we want to fill this gap and provide a platform for African regulators to discuss the specific issues and concerns that may affect them in the implementation of IFRS 9."

KABUL, Sept. 24 (Xinhua) -- A bomb attack rocked western side of Kabul, Afghanistan on Sunday with unknown casualties www.vapormaxpluswomens.com , witnesses said.
"The explosion came at around 10:50 a.m. local time along Qargha Lake Road in Police District 5 of the city. The obvious target of the attack was a military convoy passing by the area. And a suicide bombing was suspected," witness Ahmad Farshad told Xinhua.
The blast caused a plume of grey smoke to rise above the scene.
Several police vehicles and ambulances were rushed to the site following the blast, the witness added.
Security forces have cordoned off the area for precautionary measures.
